About Me

I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I was trained in the Humanistic Approach which means I explore with a client their unique experience of life events and how that effects them in the here and now. I encourage the client to take a deeper look inside to gain a better understanding of their responses and behaviours in relation to these experiences and how they might want to change them. I can also draw on other techniques and approaches depending on the needs of my client. I may at times make suggestions of tools that a client might find helpful.

I work with adults (18+) and have worked with clients that have experienced trauma as a result of domestic abuse, sexual abuse or assault.  I have an understanding of PTSD and Dissociative behaviours.

I have worked with clients on a 1-1 basis but I've also facilitated groups offering support to both male and female survivors of domestic abuse.  Other groups and training I have facilitated include wellbeing sessions around anxiety, depression, stress and resilience, women's experience of safety and trauma informed practice.

For some clients faith and spirituality is very important to them and therefore a key part of their counselling journey. As a counsellor I will work with what is important to you. I will welcome you into a safe space, where you can open up about all areas of your life, without fear of judgement.

Here are some of the areas that I can work with:

Abortion, Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Burnout, Depression, Dissociation, Eating Disorders, Gender Dysphoria, High Sensitivity, Loneliness, Low Self-Esteem, Miscarriage, Personality Disorders, PTSD, Spirituality, Stress, Suicidal Thoughts, Trauma
